HW Price Guide top five most valuable Halloween Hot Wheels featuring packaged Ghostbusters Ecto-1, Batmobile and Bone Shaker

Some Halloween Hot Wheels deserve a second look long after the decorations come down. Between spooky card art, seasonal colors and familiar castings, the Halloween Series offers plenty to enjoy. A few releases also carry guide values that might surprise collectors who remember seeing them on store pegs.

Here is the countdown from our Halloween reel, led by two Ghostbusters releases and a purple Batmobile. There is a tie at number five, so six individual cars share the top five places.

Price snapshot: Values below are the HW Price Guide values checked on October 30, 2026, in US dollars. They refer to the exact releases shown and can change. Condition and packaging can affect an individual sale; follow each item link for the latest value and price history.

5 (tie). 2016 Bone Shaker — Around $12

Bone Shaker hardly needs help looking ready for Halloween. Its skull grille makes it a natural choice for the series, and this 2016 version pairs powder blue metalflake paint with dark, stormy card artwork. The card is marked 1/8, with the full package giving the release a particularly strong seasonal display presence.

At around $12, it shares fifth place. Check the year and color carefully: the 2014 Bone Shaker below is a different release with a different guide value.

5 (tie). 2025 Hollowback — Around $12

The newest car in this countdown is the oxblood-colored Hollowback from 2025. Its package brings the Halloween theme front and center, with green ghosts and a witch-hat silhouette behind the car artwork. The card is numbered 1/5.

At around $12, Hollowback ties the 2016 Bone Shaker. It is a reminder that this countdown is about the values of specific releases, rather than simply putting the oldest cars first.

4. 2014 Bone Shaker — Around $18

Bone Shaker makes a second appearance, this time in metalflake purple. The gold-colored wheels and pale side detail help distinguish this 2014 version from its blue 2016 counterpart. The 5/5 card adds bats, a moonlit sky and a haunted-house scene to the presentation.

Its guide value of around $18 places it six dollars above the 2016 release. If you collect different versions of the same casting, these two make an appealing Halloween pairing.

3. 2014 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 — Around $23

A ghost-hunting vehicle feels right at home in a Halloween lineup. This 2014 Ecto-1 wears metalflake orange paint with vivid side graphics and roof-mounted equipment. Its 5/5 packaging uses the same moonlit Halloween setting seen on that year's Bone Shaker.

At around $23, it earns third place. The orange finish also makes it easy to tell apart from the black 2012 Ecto-1 that tops the countdown.

2. 2012 1966 TV Series Batmobile — Around $26

The classic TV Batmobile gets a seasonal twist with metalflake purple paint and a bright orange canopy. Its long body and fins remain instantly recognizable, while the 3/5 card surrounds it with pumpkins, bats and a glowing yellow moon.

A guide value of around $26 puts this 2012 release in second place, just two dollars behind the leader.

1. 2012 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 — Around $28

Taking the top spot is the black 2012 Ghostbusters Ecto-1. Green side graphics, gold-colored wheels and the equipment on the roof give this version a distinctly different look from the orange 2014 release. The full 4/5 package features pumpkins, skeleton imagery and a dark Halloween setting.

At around $28, it leads this countdown. Ghostbusters claims two of the top three places, which feels especially appropriate for spooky season.
