The 2027 Hot Wheels A Case has plenty of interesting new releases, recolors, and returning castings, but a few cars immediately stood out to me.
After looking through the full A Case lineup, these are my five favorite mainlines from the case.
And yes, there is a Ferrari in the case. No, it did not make my Top 5.
#5 - Tooned Bone Shaker

Coming in at number five is the Tooned Bone Shaker.
One of the things I like most about this release is that this is a real Tooned Bone Shaker, rather than the Skull Shaker that we have seen plenty of in recent years.
The Bone Shaker is already one of the most recognizable Hot Wheels castings ever made, and the exaggerated proportions of the Tooned version work really well.
I think collectors are going to have a lot of fun with this one, and I would not be surprised if it becomes one of the more popular cars from the 2027 A Case.
#4 - Ford GT40

At number four is the Ford GT40.
Sometimes a Hot Wheels release does not need an elaborate design to look good, and this GT40 is a perfect example.
The black body combined with the gold wheels gives it a clean and classic look. The gold wheels stand out nicely against the darker paint without making the car feel over-designed.
The GT40 is already a great casting, and this color combination makes it even better.
#3 - McLaren F1

My third favorite car from the 2027 A Case is the McLaren F1.
I was not a big fan of the previous green recolor of this casting, but this blue version completely changes my opinion.
The blue looks fantastic on the McLaren F1 and fits the lines of the car extremely well. It is a much more appealing release to me and one that I will definitely be looking for when the 2027 A Cases start appearing.
#2 - Raijin Express

At number two is the Raijin Express.
This is a casting that has really grown on me over the years.
One of the best things about the Raijin Express is seeing the different artwork and graphics Hot Wheels comes up with for the large sides of the truck. Every release gives Mattel a lot of space to create something different.
The 2027 version continues that tradition with another eye-catching design, and I think it will look great alongside some of the previous Raijin Express releases.
#1 - Porsche 911 GT3 RS

My number one favorite from the 2027 Hot Wheels A Case is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
I really like the coloring on this release. It is bright, clean, and exactly the kind of color that works well on a Hot Wheels Porsche.
It also creates a pretty funny combination if you already have the pink Porsche 911 GT3 RS from 2025.
Put the pink and blue versions next to each other and you basically have yourself a Hot Wheels-themed baby reveal.

What About the Ferrari 308 GTS?

One of the more noticeable cars missing from my list is the Ferrari 308 GTS.
I am a big fan of many Ferrari Hot Wheels releases, but when it comes to Ferrari, I generally prefer the newer models.
The 308 GTS is certainly an important and recognizable Ferrari, but this particular release just did not do enough for me to knock any of my five favorites out of the list.
That does not mean it will not be popular with collectors, especially with Ferrari continuing to be such a major part of the Hot Wheels lineup again.

- Ford GT40
- Tooned Bone Shaker
Those are my five favorite picks, but there are plenty of other interesting cars in the 2027 A Case.
