Which Hot Wheels Red Line Club cars have the best chance of increasing significantly in value over the next five years?
I looked through the long-term pricing and sales history on HW Price Guide, along with collector demand, recent values, and how each car has performed since release.
These predictions are not guarantees, but based on the data available today, these are five RLC cars I think are especially interesting to watch heading toward 2031.
5. 2025 RLC Porsche 959
Current value: Around $56
Five-year prediction: $90-$125
The 2025 Porsche 959 is my sleeper pick on this list.
At around $56, it is still relatively inexpensive for a Red Line Club Porsche. That means it does not need to become an extremely expensive RLC release to generate a strong percentage increase from today's value.
Porsche continues to be one of the strongest brands in Hot Wheels collecting, and I think the 959 has a good chance of slowly becoming more desirable as examples disappear into long-term collections.
My estimated value by 2031 is approximately $90 to $125.
4. 2025 RLC RWB Porsche 930
Current value: Around $132
Five-year prediction: $200-$275
The 2025 RWB Porsche 930 has one of the strongest combinations you can find in modern Hot Wheels collecting: Porsche and RWB.
Older RWB Red Line Club releases have already shown that collectors are willing to pay significant premiums for these cars.
The main reason this car is not ranked higher is simply because it is still relatively new. We do not yet have several years of pricing history to see how the market behaves once the initial release period is well behind us.
If collector demand remains strong, however, I think this could become one of the bigger absolute-value winners on the list.
My estimated value by 2031 is approximately $200 to $275.
3. 2022 RLC Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 Shadowchrome
Current value: Around $116
Five-year prediction: $150-$190
The 2022 Shadowchrome Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 is the most established car in my top five.
Its pricing history has gone through several ups and downs, but one thing has remained consistent: collectors continue to come back to it.
After several years on the market, the Shadowchrome R34 is once again trading toward the upper end of its historical range.
That suggests the demand is not simply leftover release hype. The BNR34 continues to be one of the most desirable Japanese castings among Hot Wheels collectors, and older RLC Skyline releases have shown how strong that demand can become over time.
My estimated value by 2031 is approximately $150 to $190.
2. 2023 RLC Magnus Walker Urban Outlaw Porsche 964
Current value: Around $62
Five-year prediction: $100-$130
The Magnus Walker Urban Outlaw Porsche 964 may have one of the most interesting long-term price histories on this list.
Rather than experiencing one large speculative price spike, the car has gradually appreciated over time.
Its value has moved from roughly the $40 range, into the $50s, and more recently into the $60s.
That type of slow and steady appreciation is something I like to see when evaluating a collectible for the long term.
It also combines several strong collector markets: Porsche, Magnus Walker, Urban Outlaw, and Red Line Club collectors.
My estimated value by 2031 is approximately $100 to $130.
1. 2024 RLC Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 Chameleon
Current value: Around $90-$95
Five-year prediction: $150-$200
My number one pick is the 2024 Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 with the purple-and-blue chameleon finish.
This car has one of the best combinations of current value, collector demand, and potential upside.
The BNR34 is already one of the most popular Hot Wheels castings, and the unique chameleon finish gives this particular release an identity that helps it stand out from other RLC Skylines.
It is also still considerably less expensive than several older RLC BNR34 releases.
If the 2024 Chameleon follows a similar long-term path to some of those earlier Skyline releases, I think there is plenty of room for the value to continue climbing.
My estimated value by 2031 is approximately $150 to $200.

- 2023 Magnus Walker Urban Outlaw Porsche 964 - $100-$130 predicted value

- 2025 Porsche 959 - $90-$125 predicted value
What Makes an RLC Car Increase in Value?
There is no formula that can guarantee which Hot Wheels will increase in value, but there are several things I look for.
Long-term pricing trends are important. A car that gradually increases in value over several years can be more interesting than one that experiences a huge spike immediately after release.
Sales volume also matters. When prices increase while fewer examples become available for sale, it can indicate that supply is gradually being absorbed into permanent collections.
The casting itself is another major factor. Porsche and Nissan Skyline RLC releases continue to have particularly strong collector demand, especially when the release also has an unusual paint scheme, collaboration, or other feature that makes it easy to distinguish from similar cars.
Which One Would You Hold Until 2031?
If I could choose only one of these cars to put away today and revisit in 2031, I would currently choose the 2024 RLC Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 Chameleon.
However, the Magnus Walker Porsche 964 and the 2022 Shadowchrome Skyline both have more historical pricing data supporting their long-term demand.
The RWB Porsche 930 may also eventually outperform all of them in absolute dollar value, but we need more time to see how its market develops.
These values are predictions based on current pricing and sales trends. Collectible values can rise or fall, and there is no guarantee that any of these cars will reach the predicted prices.

As a psychologist I believe there is another factor based on the question, ‘Will what is popular now be popular 10 years from now?’ Beatle cards were very popular at first and then when Boomers were melancholy but now? Meh’ When I look at your top 5 what I see are shiny mirror surface colorful cars… 4-5’ Yes? When shiny wears off and the trend becomes say non-race car, or typical actual paint job, or non-European cars…. All that cost much now and is trending could quickly become, yuck. Just a thought
