5 Hot Wheels 2024 Mainline Cars You Should Add to Your Collection

13 November, 2024

The 2024 Hot Wheels Mainline lineup has something for everyone, from fantasy castings to classics. Based on sales and collector buzz, these five cars stand out. What’s particularly interesting is that three of them are fantasy castings, showing that collecting Hot Wheels is not just about American Muscle and JDM's. If you’re a dedicated collector or just getting started, these models are worth seeking out. And if you're lucky, you might still spot them on store shelves!

Flippin' Fast

Description: Introduced in 2024, Flippin' Fast is a unique addition to the Mainline series. Designed in collaboration with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, it doubles as a fidget spinner, offering a tactile element that appeals to kids and collectors alike. Its bright orange color makes it easy to spot, both in stores and on display.

Porsche 911 Carrera Keychain

Description: This model is a new twist on the Coupe Clip, which has been a favorite over the past few years. The Porsche 911 Carrera Keychain serves as both a collectible and a functional keychain. It’s a great choice for those who want to carry a piece of their collection with them.

Bumblebee

Description: This isn’t a new casting, but the VW Bug from 1989 gets a fresh update with Bumblebee-inspired Transformers decals. This fan-favorite car also comes in gold which is going to be even more popular. If you’re a fan of crossover collectibles, this is a piece of nostalgia you won’t want to miss.

Duck N' Roll

Description: First released in 2020, Duck N' Roll remains a quirky favorite. Created by the late Ryu Asada, the 2024 version has a glow-in-the-dark feature, adding a playful element to this already whimsical design. It’s a great example of a fantasy casting that continues to captivate collectors.

Volkswagen T2 Pickup

Description: The Volkswagen T2 Pickup has been a collector favorite for years, and this year it comes in a subtle light grey color. Its classic design and robust build make it a reliable choice for fans of vintage Hot Wheels models.

Where to Find Them

While these cars have been flying off the shelves, you might still be able to find them in your local stores. Keep an eye out during your next visit to the toy aisle, as these models are popular but not impossible to come by. Happy hunting!

That keychain is a must have. I bet it’ll be hard to find in package as everyone just takes it out of the package to put in a keychain.
