Upcoming Hot Wheels Silver Series Exotics Set Has Collectors Watching for Rumored LaFerrari Chase

The upcoming Hot Wheels Silver Series Exotics set is already getting attention from collectors, and it is easy to see why. Between the supercar-heavy lineup, the sharp-looking card design, and the rumored fifth car in the set, this release could end up being one of the more talked-about Silver Series drops of the year.

Based on the photos currently making the rounds, the set features a sleek new card layout that gives the series a more premium feel. One of the biggest changes is the placement of the car name. Instead of appearing under the blister, the vehicle name is positioned closer to the top of the card, giving the artwork more room to breathe and making the packaging look cleaner overall.

The design feels very similar to the recent Performance Trucks card style, which was well received by many collectors. The dark background, large vehicle artwork, clean Exotics logo, and simple “1/5” style numbering all work together to give the cards a more polished look. It is not yet clear if this is the final design that will hit stores, but if it is, Hot Wheels has a strong presentation for this set.

As for the cars, the Silver Series Exotics lineup is packed with modern hypercar appeal.

The first car in the set is the Pagani Utopia. Shown in red with a black center stripe, this is a strong opener for the series. Pagani castings tend to stand out because of their dramatic styling, and the Utopia fits perfectly into an Exotics-themed release.

The second car is the Czinger 21C. This one appears in a bright green finish that really pops against the darker card art. With its low stance, futuristic shape, sharp lines, and race-inspired look, the Czinger 21C may end up being one of the sleeper favorites in the set.

The third car is the McLaren Elva. Finished in orange with the number 6 on the hood, the open-top McLaren brings a different silhouette to the lineup. It is a clean choice for the Exotics theme and should appeal to McLaren collectors as well as fans of modern performance cars.

The fourth car is the Lamborghini Veneno. This one has a much more aggressive look, with gray paint, sharp body lines, and green windshield detail. The Veneno already has a wild real-world design, and in this set it gives the lineup a darker, stealthier feel.

The biggest question is the fifth car.

Collector rumors currently point to the LaFerrari as the fifth car in the set, and if that turns out to be the chase, it could be extremely difficult to find at retail. A Ferrari chase in a Silver Series release is exactly the kind of combination that sends collectors to the pegs early, especially after fresh restocks.

While the LaFerrari has not been officially confirmed from the photos shown here, the possibility alone is enough to make this set one to watch. If the rumor is accurate, the fifth car may be the one that separates casual buyers from serious hunters.

Overall, the upcoming Hot Wheels Silver Series Exotics set has a lot going for it. The card design looks sharp, the known lineup is strong, and the rumored LaFerrari chase could make this one of the tougher Silver Series sets to complete in stores.

Collectors looking to build the full five-car set may want to keep a close eye on restocks once these begin showing up at retail.
