Hot Wheels collectors have been given an early look at an upcoming Red Line Club release, but almost nothing has been revealed about the car itself.
The upcoming model is currently listed for RLC Overdrive members as Hot Wheels RLC #17. Instead of showing the casting, packaging or artwork, the listing features a generic “Coming Soon” image.

There is no vehicle name, no silhouette and no indication of what collectors will receive.
The biggest clue may be the price.
The mysterious release is listed at $50, which is considerably more than collectors normally expect to pay for a standard Hot Wheels RLC car.
That higher price immediately raises questions about what Mattel could be planning.
It could potentially be:
At this point, those are only theories. The listing does not provide enough information to confirm what makes this release different from a typical RLC model.
The RLC Overdrive page identifies the mystery release as Hot Wheels RLC #17 and limits purchases to two per customer.
The order is scheduled to process on August 16, 2026, with a listed ship-by date of November 20, 2026.
That means Overdrive members currently know when the order will be processed and how much they will be charged, but not what they are actually buying.
The $50 price point suggests this may be more than a regular RLC release.
Hot Wheels could be preparing something with additional features, more detailed construction or special packaging. It could also be connected to a major brand or entertainment property that has not yet been announced.
The complete lack of information may be intentional, allowing Mattel to build anticipation before officially revealing the release.
Whatever it is, Hot Wheels RLC #17 is already becoming one of the most intriguing releases on the 2026 schedule.
What do you think Mattel is hiding behind the “Coming Soon” image? Is it a two-car set, a premium display model or something completely unexpected?
