Hot Wheels collectors have a new Red Line Club release to circle on the calendar: the 1962 Ford F100 in Spectraflame Teal. The drop is set for Tuesday, June 16, and as with other RLC releases, it’s exclusive to Red Line Club members.
The retail price is $28 (plus shipping and taxes).
Why this F100 has collectors watching closely
This upcoming Spectraflame Teal truck will be only the fifth release of the casting, and the previous versions have shown notable secondary-market strength.
Here’s how earlier releases are currently valued, based on the notes provided:
• 2022 Orange RLC version: around $57
• 2022 Blue version: around $51
• 2023 Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals release: about $75 (currently the most valuable version of the casting)
• 2023 Pink Party Car: around $50
What stands out is that all four versions have been trending upward over the last six months. With trucks remaining one of the hottest segments in Hot Wheels collecting and demand continuing to grow, it’s not surprising that there’s already building interest in this teal RLC edition—especially with several recent Mattel Creations releases selling out quickly.
Will it climb above retail?
Whether the Spectraflame Teal 1962 Ford F100 becomes the next version to push well beyond retail is something the market will answer after the June 16 drop.
