Another Fast & Furious set—but are you passing on all five? A blue Eclipse with pink graphics, a purple RX-7 and a Civic wearing bright blue wheels make the upcoming 2027 Hot Wheels Fast & Furious Nitro Grid Silver Series hard to overlook.
Fast & Furious remains a collector favorite, even as familiar castings and frequent releases prompt plenty of debate. Nitro Grid gives five recognizable cars a colorful new treatment. This is the non-premium Silver Series assortment, separate from the Fast & Furious Premium line.
I am Paul, creator of HW Price Guide. Here is a closer look at each car in numbered set order, followed by my thoughts on the new card art and what other collectors are saying. These are preview photos; this article does not confirm a retail release date or local availability.
The Lancer opens the set in bright green, with contrasting pink and blue side graphics, dark wheels and a large rear wing. Its familiar four-door shape gives the loud decoration plenty of room to work. It is an eye-catching start to a mix that clearly embraces color.
I like how the green carries through into the card art. Together, the car and packaging give this release a strong identity.

The Eclipse switches things up with a blue body, pink side graphics and white wheels. It is a striking change from the green movie-inspired Eclipse many collectors immediately picture when they hear the name.
The blue-and-pink combination feels playful and has an arcade-racing look to my eyes. Whether you love it or prefer a more familiar color scheme, it is unlikely to disappear into a display.

Number three is the orange Integra, with dark side graphics and a prominent number 12 on the door. The contrast makes the racing-style decoration easy to pick out, while its low coupe profile gives it a different presence from the Lancer.
This is one of the more race-inspired looks in the assortment. The orange card background also makes the whole package feel coordinated.

The RX-7 wears purple with bright contrasting side graphics, silver-colored wheels and green accents around the lower body. Its rounded shape and rear wing remain immediately recognizable beneath the new decoration.
The purple RX-7 is one I keep coming back to in the photos. The combination is bold, and the matching purple card gives it a particularly strong display presence.

The Civic closes the set in bright yellow-green with blue wheels. Compared with the busier graphics elsewhere in the lineup, the body color and wheel choice do much of the visual work here.
It is a small casting with a lot of personality. Those blue wheels make a big difference, giving the Civic a fun custom look that fits the Nitro Grid theme.

The cars are the main attraction, but I do like the packaging direction. Each card features a large front view of its car, surrounded by streaks of color that match the release below. Green, blue, orange, purple and yellow-green give every package its own character while keeping the five-car set visually consistent.
To me, the artwork has an arcade-racing feel. The Lancer and RX-7 cards especially catch my eye, and I can see the appeal of displaying the complete set carded.
Early reactions are divided, with criticism prominent in the Reddit discussions I checked. In one Nitro Grid discussion, recurring concerns include familiar castings, fatigue with the number of Fast & Furious releases and dislike of the new color choices. Some commenters would rather see different vehicles than another colorful interpretation of an existing casting.
There are positive reactions, too. Some collectors enjoy the retro neon look, while others are interested in individual castings regardless of the franchise branding. In another discussion showing the packaged cars, one collector wanted the complete assortment for a rainbow-themed display. These comments are a snapshot of online opinion, not a survey of the whole collecting community.
I understand wanting more variety, but I also enjoy seeing familiar castings given a different personality. The new card art works for me, and the bright colors make this a set worth a closer look.
