Did Hot Wheels just give its 2027 Fast & Furious lineup a much-needed boost? On the heels of the recently announced Nitro Grid series, Boost Mode brings five castings that make this next Silver Series set feel a lot more exciting.
Nitro Grid left me underwhelmed, but this selection has my attention. A Skyline R33, Silvia S13, custom Datsun 240Z and custom Integra sedan give the lineup a strong Japanese-car focus, with a Dodge Charger adding some American muscle. Bright colors and bold graphics tie the set together.
I’m Paul, creator of HW Price Guide. Join over 45,000 collectors using the website and app to track their collections and their value. All five Boost Mode cars are now listed, so you can start building your wishlist.
Boost Mode belongs to the Fast & Furious Silver Series. Here are all five cars in their numbered order.
The set opens with a black Charger wearing silver side graphics and dark wheels. It gives Boost Mode an American muscle presence alongside the four Japanese models, with a restrained base color that lets the contrasting graphics stand out.

The R33 arrives in bright yellow with black and white side graphics and silver wheels. Its rear wing and bold livery make it one of the most eye-catching cars in the lineup. For Skyline collectors, this looks like an obvious wishlist contender.

Orange paint, black striping and a low, aggressive stance make the Datsun one of the strongest visual picks here. The Custom casting adds a different shape to the set, and its dark wheels work well with the contrasting body graphics.

The Silvia brings another burst of yellow, this time with black and white graphics and visible Yokohama branding. It complements the Skyline without repeating the same design, giving Nissan fans two very different cars to consider.

Light blue paint and sweeping white and dark blue graphics give the custom Integra sedan a distinct look. It closes out the five-car series with a cooler color palette against the yellow and orange cars, while keeping the set’s bold graphic theme intact.

For me, the casting selection is the biggest improvement over Nitro Grid. The Skyline and Silvia are immediate draws, while the custom Datsun and Integra give the set more variety in shape and style. The Charger helps round out the mix for collectors who prefer muscle cars.
The yellow Skyline and orange Datsun are my early visual standouts, but the light blue Integra could easily become a favorite. That is what makes this set interesting: there are several cars worth discussing rather than a lineup carried by just one pick.
This is a preview of the upcoming 2027 set. A confirmed retail release date and pricing are not included in the information available for this preview.
