There is a new Hot Wheels Mail-in-Car promotion with Family Dollar and Dollar Tree! This time around, the exclusive car is a ‘65 Dodge Coronet and is available when you spend $20 or more (excluding tax) on Hot Wheels from Participating Family Dollar or Dollar Tree stores.
However, there are some extra guidelines laid out by Mattel on these cars, so let’s cover those first:
- The cars must be 1:64 scale basic cars
- They must be from after 2020, and the cars must be from Assortment numbers: C4982, L2593, and/or HGY16
- The cars must be purchased between July 5, 2024 and August 15, 2024
How to Find an Assortment Number
To find what assortment number your car is from, look just above the barcode on the back of the card, on the right-hand side, there will be “Asst.” and the characters that follow are the assortment number.
How to Redeem your Mail-in Car
To redeem your mail-in ‘65 Dodge Coronet, you must purchase at least $20 (excluding tax) worth of Hot Wheels in the aforementioned assortment numbers between the specified dates. To claim the car, here’s what you have to include in the mail:
- The original receipt as proof of purchase. Photocopies will not be accepted.
- The backing cards for the cars you have purchased, or you can send in the cutout Barcodes for the cars that are listed on the receipts.
- A completed order form.
- A check or money order for $ 7.00 USD to cover Shipping costs.
Any mail requests have to be postmarked before August 20, 2024, and Mattel must receive them by August 30, 2024. Cars will be received within 8-12 weeks of August 30, 2024.

Up to 10 cars can be received per household, and only one (1) car can be awarded for every $20 (excluding taxes) spent. The Mail-in car offer is only available to those who reside in the Continental US.
